Mental Health Support at Home in London
Structured, compassionate, and person-centred mental health support delivered at home — helping adults and young people in London maintain stability, independence, and quality of life.
Who our mental health support service is for
Our mental health support service provides structured, in-home and community-based support for adults and young people who are living with mental health conditions and need consistent, skilled assistance to maintain wellbeing and daily functioning.
We support individuals living with:
- Schizophrenia, psychosis, and related conditions
- Bipolar disorder and mood disorders
- Severe depression and anxiety disorders
- Personality disorders including borderline personality disorder
- Dual diagnosis — mental health conditions alongside substance misuse
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Mental health conditions alongside physical health or disability needs
- Post-discharge support following a mental health inpatient admission
Our support is also suitable for young people whose mental health needs require structured, specialist support at home — delivered in a way that is sensitive to their age and developmental stage.
“We treat the whole person — not just the diagnosis. Recovery is built on real relationships, consistent support, and genuine belief in the person we are working with.”

Our Approach
Our approach to mental health support
Mental health support is not about doing things for people — it is about working alongside people as they build or rebuild the capacity to manage their own lives with increasing confidence and independence.
We build genuine relationships
Our support workers invest time in understanding the person beyond their diagnosis — their interests, their strengths, what motivates them, and what challenges them. Genuine relationships are the foundation of effective mental health support.
We focus on recovery and independence
We work within the individual's recovery framework — supporting goals, reducing dependency over time where appropriate, and celebrating progress at every stage. Support is always built to promote independence, not dependency.
We work alongside clinical teams, not instead of them
Our role is to complement the clinical care already in place. We liaise regularly with CMHTs, psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals — communicating clearly and attending review meetings as required.
We take risk seriously — but not fearfully
Our support workers are trained in risk awareness and risk management. We use agreed crisis plans, monitor early warning signs, and have clear escalation pathways. We approach risk with confidence, not avoidance.
We are consistent
Consistency of support worker is especially important in mental health care. We work hard to maintain the same workers with each individual and manage any changes with care and advance communication.
How mental health support begins with Kope Medics
From first contact to consistent support in place — a structured, person-centred process.
Initial conversation
Call us or complete our form. We receive referrals from professionals and self-referrals from individuals or families. All enquiries are handled with care and discretion.
Assessment and information gathering
A senior practitioner conducts a thorough assessment of mental health needs, current clinical input, daily living situation, and recovery goals — in collaboration with the person and their clinical team.
Support plan and worker matching
We build a detailed support plan and identify the right worker for the individual — considering experience, approach, and personal compatibility. Introductions are made before support begins.
Support begins and is reviewed
The arrangement starts at an agreed frequency and time. We review regularly with the individual, their family, and the clinical team — adjusting the plan as needs and goals change.
